'Animal Scapes' of the Sierra Nevada Foothills
This project was created to raise awareness and uplift the many organizations and agencies that advocate for, protect, and nurture our animal community in the California Sierra Nevada Foothills. Selected artists from Calaveras, Amador and Tuolumne Counties are to create artwork that depicts animal life (wild, domestic, and exotic) in the Sierra Foothills setting. There will be a variety of mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, wood work, and poetry. The AnimalScapes exhibit will debut in Calaveras County and then rotate to Amador County and finally Tuolumne County. Each show kicks off with an artist reception and is open to the public.
