'Animal Scapes' of the Sierra Nevada Foothills

This project was created to raise awareness and uplift the many organizations and agencies that advocate for, protect, and nurture our animal community in the California Sierra Nevada Foothills. Selected artists from Calaveras, Amador and Tuolumne Counties are to create artwork that depicts animal life (wild, domestic, and exotic) in the Sierra Foothills setting. There will be a variety of mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, wood work, and poetry. The AnimalScapes exhibit will debut in Calaveras County and then rotate to Amador County and finally Tuolumne County. Each show kicks off with an artist reception and is open to the public. I was proud to be one of the 50 chosen artists that had the honor to create an art piece for the awareness of our local animal sanctuaries in the California counties of Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne.

One in particular sanctuary called, "PAWS" in San Andreas, CA rescues and cares for Elephants, Tigers, Bears, and a few other exotic wildlife species.
